Hi! I'm Alexa, and I'm so glad you're here!

I'm the photographer behind Tropical Exposure Images. But more than that, I'm the eye that catches all the easily missed, quick little moments. I'm also your personal hype girl, your unofficial stylist, lighting assistant, pose coach, timeline keeper, flyaway fixer, dress fluffer, sunscreen reminder, and professional memory maker.

I found my way down to the USVI from Western NY in 2021. I spent weeks at a time vacationing here in the Caribbean during the early pandemic days and quickly realized this was where I wanted to be full time. After my final vacation here I went back to NY, quit my corporate job of 10 years, packed up what I could in 4 suitcases and headed for my dream life in St Thomas. As milestones and years pass I still have yet to shovel snow from my driveway or wear a jacket, so here I stay! Seriously, Western NY is no joke in the winter months.
